Aaron Murray Ruled Out By Vipers For Sunday

The Tampa Bay Vipers have officially listed Aaron Murray as out for this weekend’s Week Two matchup against the Seattle Dragons.

Murray injured his foot during the Viper’s Week One loss to the New York Guardians. While Murray will ride the bench for Week Two, it has yet to be confirmed who will be starting in his place. It will be interesting to see if Marc Trestmen decides to go with former USF quarterback Quinton Flowers as his starting signal-caller this weekend.

Of course, Trestmen could also decide to go with former Oklahoma State quarterback Taylor Cornelius. While he didn’t specify who would see the most playtime, Trestmen did divulge that both men would be playing in the game.

“We’ll make a decision at gametime. Who starts doesn’t really matter because they’re both going to be in the game,” Trestman said.

What Murray did produce on the field before he was injured wasn’t great. He threw an interception in the red zone on his first drive before finishing the day with 231 yards through the air, a touchdown, and a total of two interceptions. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
