All eight XFL teams seem to be finalizing their rosters as kickoff approaches this weekend.
The Houston Roughnecks have announced that P.J. Walker will be their starting quarterback for their Week One game against the LA Wildcats. Houston made the news official on their Twitter page.
Walker played all four years of his college football for Temple. Throughout that time, he passed for over 10,000 yards, 74 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions. He ended his career at Temple with a 129.1 rating. Per NFL Draft Scout, Walker was ranked as the 32nd best quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft, where he went undrafted.
He spent a few years on-and-off with the Indianapolis Colts practice squad before landing with the Roughnecks. Now he has an opportunity to solidify himself as the Roughnecks’ starting signal-caller for the entirety of the season.
