XFL Inks CFL All-Star Offensive Lineman Derek Dennis To Team Nine

The XFL just inked an extremely talented offensive lineman to their Team Nine reserve squad.

3 Down Nation reports that three-time (2016, 2018, 2019) Canadian Football League (CFL) West All-Star Derek Dennis, a former Grey Cup winner with the Calgary Stampeders, has signed with the XFL. Dennis has previously been a member of reserve teams for NFL squads such as the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.

Now, the 6’3″ 345-pound left tackle will return his talents to the United States. The former CFL’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award winner will instantly be desired by all eight XFL squads. He is, arguably, the most talented pass blocker the XFL has under contract at the moment. Dennis played his college football for Temple University. His time in the CFL included runs with the Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

It will be interesting to see which squad the 31-year-old pro lands on.
