XFL Will Hold Four Pre-Season Games At End Of January

XFL

The XFL will be holding four pre-season games before officially kicking off their inaugural season this February.

590TheFan.com’s NFL Insider, Howard Balzer, reports that these games will take place two weeks before the season begins. All four of the pre-season games will be held at the University Of Houston’s TDECU Stadium in Texas.

“As The Alliance did last year in San Antonio, XFL will have 4 preseason games near end of camp at TDECU Stadium (U. of Houston). Jan. 20 DC vs. Seattle, 10 am; Dallas vs. St. Louis, 3:30 pm. Jan. 21 Los Angeles vs. Houston, 10 am; Tampa Bay vs. New York, 3:30 pm.”

On Monday, January 20, the DC Defenders will take on the Seattle Dragons at 10 A.M. CT. Also, the Dallas Renegades will then face the St. Louis BattleHawks at 3:30 P.M. CT. On Tuesday, January 21, the Los Angeles Wildcats will take on the Houston Roughnecks at 10 A.M. CT, before the Tampa Bay Vipers go head-to-head with the New York Guardians at 3:30 P.M. CT.

Training camp comes to an end for XFL teams on January 23. Teams will return home for their final practices before the official regular season kicks off on February 8 and 9. As for whether or not these pre-season games will air on TV, that has yet to be announced, but it’s unlikely that they will. In the meantime, the league has already released its official rulebook, including a very exciting new take on overtime. You can check that out here.
