The XFL Draft is set for Tuesday, October 15th and Wednesday, October 16th in Stamford, CT. The news was confirmed to us by league sources. I was told that there would be draft coverage across the XFL social media platforms but nothing for TV was confirmed.
News on the draft was sent out in a letter from the league to players. The letter also says that there will be a minicamp for drafted players on December 3 with the league covering the costs of travel, lodging and meals. All players will be required to complete a medical examination prior to signing their contract.
There will be a training camp from January 4 to January 21 with the location to be announced at a later time. The training camp will include practice sessions, joint practices and scrimmages.
The players who make it to the active roster will then travel to their respective team cities. The active rosters will have 52 players with 46 players activated on game day and an additional 40 players at a central traninig facility. The additional 40 players will receive XFL coaching and player benefits (including housing).
The league kicks off on February 8, 2020 with games airing on FOX, Fox Sports 1, ESPN and ABC.
