Week Two XFL Ratings On ABC Are In And It’s Good News

The ratings are in for the XFL games that aired on ABC over the weekend.

According to Nielsen, Saturday’s DC Defenders vs. New York Guardians game on ABC drew 2,127,000 viewers. The game peaked from 3:15-3:30 pm eastern with 2,389,000 viewers.

Here are the top 10 markets for Saturday’s game:
Columbus, Ohio – 2.8 rating
Cleveland, Ohio/West Palm Beach, FL – 2.6 rating
Cincinnati, Ohio – 2.5 rating
Dallas, TX/Washington, DC – 2.0 rating
Dayton, Ohio – 1.9 rating
Pittsburgh, PA/Seattle, WA – 1.8 rating

Sunday’s game between the Dallas Renegades and the Los Angeles Wildcats averaged 2,397,000 viewers. That game peaked between 5:45 pm to 6 pm eastern with 3,381,000 viewers.

Here are the top 10 markets for Sunday’s game:
Dallas, TX – 3.8 rating
New Orleans, LA – 3.6 rating
Norfolk, VA – 3.1 rating
Pittsburgh, PA – 3. 0 rating
Cleveland, OH/Richmond-Petersburg – 2.9 rating
Columbus, OH/Houston, TX – 2.6 rating
Nashville, TN – 2.5 rating
Austin, TX – 2.4 rating

The league should be very happy with these numbers as they drew more viewers than most of the shows that aired in primetime.
