St. Louis Battlehawks & Dallas Renegades Make First XFL Trade

St. Louis Battlehawks

XFL teams are starting to make some serious roster moves ahead of the league’s inaugural season in February.

Now, we have a historic transaction to pass along. It seems the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Dallas Renegades have made the first-ever trade in XFL history. The Battlehawks have sent LB Markus Jones to Dallas in exchange for WR Keith Mumphery. The XFL made the transaction official on Twitter:

Mumphery is a former fifth-round NFL Draft selection by the Houston Texans from 2015. The Michigan State product was drafted by the Renegades in phase five of the XFL draft.

As for Jones, he went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft but landed on the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers rosters for the preseason. He was also selected in phase five of the XFL draft by the Battlehawks. Now, both men will be moved to new homes after being part of the first XFL trade of the league’s relaunch.
