Wildcats Trade LB Anthony Johnson To DC Defenders

The LA Wildcats decided to make some big changes after their Week One loss to the Houston Roughnecks last week.

LA moved on from five-time Super Bowl winner Pepper Johnson at defensive coordinator, and reports surfaced that the team was ready to move linebacker and team captain Anthony Johnson as well. Now, according to several reports, Johnson has been traded from LA to the DC Defenders, in exchange for cornerback Bradley Sylve.

Johnson will return to Washington, where he once had a brief stint with the NFL’s Washington Redskins in 2015. As for Sylve, the University of Alabama product had an impressive Week One after recording a pick-six against the Seattle Dragons, helping lead DC to a 31-19 win. There’s currently no word on if Johnson and Sylve will be available for their new teams this weekend.

The Wildcats will take on the Dallas Renegades in Week Two tomorrow afternoon, while The Defenders face the New York Guardians later today.
