Dallas Renegades Top LA Wildcats 25-18

The Dallas Renegades have picked up their first win of the XFL 2020 season.

Dallas traveled to Los Angeles to take on the Wildcats, where they picked up the victory 25-18. Running back Cameron Artis-Payne led the charge on the ground with 99 rushing yards, averaging 7.1 yards a carry, and two touchdowns. Quarterback Landry Jones had a mixed day. Although he completed 70 percent of his passes for 305 yards, and a touchdown, he did throw two interceptions.

Wide receiver Donald Parham proved himself a reliable target, hauling in five receptions on 11 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. Wildcats quarterback Josh Johnson completed 54 percent of his passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a reliable pass catcher in Nelson Spruce, who caught six passes for 89 yards and two scores.

Although the Wildcats were more productive on the defensive side of the ball, snagging two interceptions but matching Dallas with two sacks each, it wasn’t enough to get the job done. LA now falls to 0-2 and will face the streaking DC Defenders next week, while the 1-1 Renegades travel to Seattle to do battle with the Dragons.
