Dallas Renegades

The Dallas Renegades have announced several roster moves via their official Twitter. Dallas has added wide receiver Armanti Edwards. In turn, they have also waived receiver Jerrod Heard. The Renegades added both OLB Jesse Aniebonam and re-acquired quarterback Brogan Roback.

OLB Hau’oli Kikaha has decided to retire, while quarterback Eric Dungey was placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list due to a family matter. Here’s the official update from Dallas:

“ROSTER UPDATE: The Renegades have made 3 roster moves this week, adding WR Armanti Edwards, OLB Jesse Aniebonam, and QB Brogan Roback. WR Jerrod Heard was waived. OLB Hau’oli Kikaha has retired. QB Eric Dungey was placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list due to a family matter.”

Edwards, a former Canadian Football League (CFL) star, was signed to the XFL’s Team Nine last week. The Appalachian State product comes off a 1,014 yard and seven touchdown season in 2019 with the Toronto Argonauts. Aniebonam played his college ball for Maryland and spent some time with the Houston Texans in the NFL. Roback, who was waived and signed to the XFL’s Team Nine back last week, has played for the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and was drafted by the St. Louis BattleHawks before being waived in January.
